The Canon ET-60 Lens Hood is primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact. Dedicated lens hoods, such as the Canon ET-60, are designed to match the specific focal length of the lens it was designed for.
This high-quality Vivitar UV Filter blocks the invisible UV component of light from the sky, which can cause blur and to which many color
films react with a blue cast. UV Filters are ideal for photography in high altitudes (in the mountains), by the sea and in regions with very clean air.
The pictures gain brilliance and disturbing blue casts are avoided.
The CapKeeper 2 is an elastic loop, which wraps around lens barrel of your camera, with lens cap leash. It prevents lens cap loss with adhesive-backed disc attached to the cap. The CapKeeper 2 is designed for SLR cameras with interchangeable lenses and video cameras. Never lose your cap again!

This kit is good for what is stated, BUT, The Hoya filter is NOT multicoated, so take that into consideration as you make your buying decision. If I had noticed that, I would have bought another item with the multicoated filter.
However, if you don't care about having a filter that is not multicoated, then buy this kit. Everything comes as described and, contrary to the other reviewer, the lens hood fits fine. The hood uses a bayonet mount and needs some force to twist it on, but it is a Canon hood and it definitely fits my Canon 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS lens.
Cameta Camera takes a couple of days to process the order, but it ships USPS and arrives in due time. I would have no problem buying from Cameta Camera again.

This set comes with the ET-60 Lens Hood which fits without problems on Canon's EF-S 55-200mm, and it fits also on EF-S 18-55mm - where it shouldn't be use without the zoom less than 35.
The Hood, according to Canon's Compatibility List, works with following lenses:
* EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III
* EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM
* EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS
Also an UV Haze Glass Filter is included which belongs to the basic equitment. In this case it is a HOYA 58mm UV Filter - not really a surprise but from the best producer for lens filter.
The cleaning set comes with a cleaning fluid, pipette, lens tissue, a soft rag, a soft brush and a small simple transport bag. That is all you need to keep it clean.
Only the Cap Strap was/is a problem: the strap is to short if you use it with the hood. I don't want to remove the hood but I use the Cap Strap with my EF-S 18-55mm.
However I have to reduce the rate to four because this item was incorrect.

Very upset, the hood would be great if it actually fit my 75-300mm lens as it says it should. There is no way for this hood to fit my lens...i called them, they said they would call me back, never happened. i don't know why it does not fit, but i am sure it does not...i read someone elses review where they had the same problem. unfortunetly it was after i could not figure out why it does not fit.
